Prepare the Ground IV announces first lineup for June 2027
Toronto's Prepare the Ground Festival has revealed its initial artist wave for the fourth edition, scheduled for 4–6 June 2027 across Trinity St. Paul's, Lee's Palace, Dance Cave and Tranzac. The first lineup reads like a curated survey of heavy psych, doom and experimental extremes: Amenra bring their ritualistic post-metal, Blood Ceremony their occult-tinged prog, Conjurer their crushing modern doom, and Minsk their atmospheric sludge. Mizmor and Primitive Man add raw blackened doom, while SubRosa return with their violin-laden dirges. The bill also includes Dark Castle, Agalloch, KEN mode, Bosse-de-Nage, Franklin, Junius, Lamp of Murmuur, Malfet and Thrä, alongside Friday acts Blood Vulture, Final Gasp, Indian Handcrafts, Lowheaven, Pretty, UUGGHH, Witch Club Satan and Yellow Eyes. Three-day passes are on sale via Dice.fm. For a festival that has built its reputation on uncompromising curation, this first announcement sets a formidable tone for 2027.
