Bright Curse announce Fatum, their third album on Ripple Music

Bright Curse

French heavy psych trio Bright Curse have announced their third studio album, Fatum, due on January 15, 2027 through Ripple Music. The first single, "The Fates," is available now on streaming platforms.

The band formed in London in 2012 and is now based in Bordeaux. Fatum is their first release with a reshaped rhythm section: bassist Rory O'Callaghan (Tie Break, ex-Libido Fuzz) and drummer Thibault Guezennec (Red Sun Atacama, ex-Libido Fuzz). According to the press release, the new lineup steered the songwriting away from extended trippy, blues-laden jams toward a more direct approach, while still expanding the band's shadowy psychedelia with cello and guest female vocals for the first time.

The album was recorded at Cryogène Studio and mastered at AD Mastering in Bordeaux. The cover, painted by Xavier Jalon Lopez, depicts the Greek Fates — Clotho, Lachesis and Atropos. Eight tracks include "Echoes of the Void," "The Fates," "Life of Jelly," "A Wolf and a Moon," "Cursed but Loved," "Death of Jelly," "In the Name of Sorrow" and "Bread & Wine."
