Bubu release 3rd and final album El Último Cortejo

Bubu

Argentine avant-prog band Bubu have released El Último Cortejo, their 3rd and final studio album, on CD and vinyl via PQR-Disques plusqueréel. Daniel Andreoli formed Bubu in Buenos Aires in 1976; the debut Anabelas followed in 1978 and the comeback El Eco del Sol in 2018. The new record reworks scores Andreoli wrote in the 1970s, found in his parents' house, with a younger Buenos Aires lineup: Agustín Ogura (guitars), Dante Fisi (keyboards), Fito Lema (drums), Paula Estefanía Araujo (flute) and Pedro Augusto Camerata (saxophone), produced with Andreoli's son Ariel. Tango, carnivalito and northern Argentine folk sit beside space-rock textures; the CD adds 2 bonus tracks, Otoño and Vuelan. First single Camina appeared on Bandcamp on 17 June. Psychedelic Baby Magazine published an interview with Andreoli on 30 October, in which he describes the album as the definitive end of Bubu's studio work.
