Content Blocks release debut album Hard Out with video for "Beach Resort"

New York duo Content Blocks — Ian Campbell and Matthew Hord — have released their first full-length album Hard Out today through STTT Records. The pair bring decades of post-punk experience to a sound that moves between industrial rigidity, Belgian EBM drive, syrupy synth-pop and modern avant-electronics. Recorded at Spice World in Brooklyn and mastered by Josh Bonati, the seven-track set was produced by Jordan Lovelace.
The album arrives alongside the video for "Beach Resort", directed by Frankie Rose. The track sits second on the record, a 4:12 piece built on drum machines, electronics, guitar and synths that moves between harder, direct moments and slower, stranger passages. Psychedelic Baby Magazine notes the record "simply sounds like two people taking those influences and making something of their own from them."
Hard Out is available on vinyl (limited to 200), CD and digitally via Bandcamp and STTT Records.
