Dead Meadow release archival collection Foundlings on Heavy Psych Sounds

US psychedelic rock veterans Dead Meadow have released Foundlings, a seven-track archival collection spanning over two decades of sessions, on Heavy Psych Sounds Records. The album arrived 31 July 2026 and compiles previously unreleased material recorded between 2002 and 2024, including sessions for Voyager to Voyager, an EarthQuaker Devices session, and a Committee to Keep Music Evil session with Anton Newcombe and Rob Campanella of The Brian Jonestown Massacre. Core members Jason Simon (guitar, vocals) and the late Steve Kille (bass) are joined by drummers Mark Laughlin and Stephen McCarty. The set also features covers of Powell St. John's "Kingdom of Heaven", The Beatles' "Tomorrow Never Knows" and Led Zeppelin's "No Quarter", the latter originally recorded for a Cleopatra Records tribute. Foundlings serves as both a tribute to founding bassist Steve Kille, who died in 2024, and a window into the band's hazy, hypnotic evolution across 25 years.
