Los Angeles band Drag Talk will release their debut album Drink the Ocean on 30 October 2026 via MNRK Heavy. The ten-track record arrives ahead of a short November Texas tour and follows the singles "Pony Up," "Kingdoms" and "Would It Kill You," each accompanied by an official music video. Vocalist Justin "Jutty" Taylor and drummer Hayden Scott previously played in the Swedish band Ghost, while guitarists Ross O'Carroll, Matt Ripp Bennett and Neil Popkin bring backgrounds in War Tapes and other projects. The album was produced by Tom Syrowski and recorded at his Los Angeles studio and at Henson Studios in Hollywood. Guest contributions include Brendan O'Brien on Hammond organ for the title track and Olivia Morreale on backing vocals. Drawing on shoegaze haze, '90s indie rock, dream-pop and psych-tinged atmospheres, Drink the Ocean is available for pre-order on Bandcamp, with a lavender vinyl exclusive and a CD edition also offered.
