Geezer announce indefinite hiatus after over a decade

New York heavy psych trio Geezer have announced an indefinite hiatus, ending a run of over ten years, six albums, two splits, an EP, a live album and extensive touring including two European treks. Founding guitarist and vocalist Pat Harrington posted a by-the-numbers summary of the band's history on social media, thanking labels STB Records, Ripple Music, Kozmik Artifactz and Heavy Psych Sounds for their support. The Obelisk's JJ Koczan, who followed the band closely, notes their most recent release was the 2022 album Stoned Blues Machine on Heavy Psych Sounds and a 2024 split with Italy's Isaak. The hiatus appears amicable, with Harrington writing "not so much a goodbye, more like… we'll catch you on the flip."
