Gizmo announce debut album All Your Worships for 2 October on Victory Pool. The Charlottetown quartet share the final single Walking The Floor with a video premiere; frontman Julien Kitson describes it as a country-inflected power-pop reimagining of Ernest Tubb's Walking the Floor Over You. The ten-track record was recorded over eight days in a Nova Scotia community hall with Alex Edkins and Loel Campbell, and draws on reference points from Guided By Voices and Pavement to R.E.M. and Silver Jews without sounding derivative. Bassist Spencer Swaine and guitarist Patrick Stephen also take lead vocals on separate tracks.
