Leipzig trio Godzilla in the Kitchen will release their third album 'Termination Sequence' on 23 October 2026 via Tonzonen Records. The record marks a decisive shift: after two instrumental outings and a 2023 live album, Brazilian drummer Thiago Presto joined in 2023, and bassist Simon Ulm took on lead vocals for the first time at producer Andy Schmidt's (Disillusion) urging. The eight-track LP fuses the band's psychedelic groove-rock roots with heavier, more aggressive riffs, progressive arrangements and Ulm's emotive vocals, recorded at their own Kuntergrund Studio. Four singles have already surfaced — 'Nothing For None', 'Empty Cribs', 'Birdsong' and 'Humility' — the third accompanied by an official video on Tonzonen's YouTube channel. In an Echoes and Dust 'Under the Influence' feature, guitarist Eric Patzschke cites Guano Apes' 'Proud Like a God' and Tool's 'Lateralus' as formative, while Ulm names Mastodon's 'Crack the Skye'. Vinyl (limited 700 pearl-flip horizon pressings), CD digipack and digital pre-orders are open. A German release tour runs 16 October–14 November 2026.
