Kyoto's veteran alternative rock ensemble Kitsune no Yomeiri mark their 20th anniversary with LIFE, their 6th album and third for P-VINE Records, digitally released on 7 October 2026 with the LP following on 21 October. The nine-track set expands the band's signature blend of progressive rock, jazz and Japanese-language poetry with complex time signatures into new territory, adding trumpet, saxophone and two guest guitarists — Shuta Nishida (Kimiishima Oozora, UA, KID FRESINO) and Kota Yamauchi (Orika Yuuta Band) — alongside returning former drummer-percussionist Gaku Kagisawa. Recorded by longtime collaborator Satoshi Yoshioka at Studio Ino, who also engineered their 2009 debut, LIFE was mastered from sessions that the band describe as their most cohesive yet. A Japanese tour runs from 16 October at Shimokitazawa ERA through a final two-part show at Kyoto's UrBANGUILD on 26 December with support from downy, NABOWA, Yamamoto Seiichi Unit and others. The digital album is available across major streaming platforms via P-VINE's linkfire page; the vinyl edition (PLP-8421) is available for pre-order from Japanese retailers including HMV, Tower Records and Disk Union.
