Marvelous Kid announce Immanuel's Manual, out October 30

Marvelous Kid

Marvelous Kid — the Cornish progressive rock band formed in 1970 that played the 1971 Glastonbury Fayre — return with Immanuel's Manual, out 30 October 2026 on Seelie Court / Good Time Records. The album collects four previously unreleased home-studio recordings from 1974, made at the band's Walton-on-Thames house, plus 'Ants', recorded at BBC Maida Vale, on the CD edition. Long tracks built around keyboards, guitar and Pete Davey's saxophone and flute run past fifteen minutes; the title piece runs sixteen minutes. Steve Betts (vocals, keyboards), Tony Coxon (guitar), Frank Artés (bass, vocals), Paul Moon (drums) and Pete Davey (saxophones, flute) make up the lineup. The tapes survived on cassette for over fifty years, and the band was never signed in its active years. It's Psychedelic Baby Magazine publishes an interview with the band alongside the announcement; pre-orders are open on Bandcamp.
