SEK announce debut album Wallensteins Garage for October 30 on Exile On Mainstream

SEK

Berlin progressive-psych trio SEK have announced their debut album Wallensteins Garage, set for 30 October 2026 via Exile On Mainstream Records. The band — guitarist Paul-Willy Stoyan (Gavial), drummer Georg Edert (Elder, Gaffa Ghandi) and bassist Lucas Kazzer (Gaffa Ghandi) — formed during the 2022 lockdowns and have since developed a sound they call HOR, Historian Oriented Rock, blending psychedelic rock, Krautrock and progressive rock.

The five-track album draws on the Thirty Years' War (1618–1648) and the figure of Albrecht von Wallenstein, framing a fictional scene in which the commander sits alone restoring his taxidermied war horse while reflecting on the Battle of Lützen. The first single, "Auftritt zu Pappenheim", arrived with a video in early September; a second single, "Die Schlacht bei Lützen", followed on 25 September. Both tracks showcase the band's improvisational heavy-psych approach, moving between hypnotic grooves and chaotic passages.

Recorded and mixed by Fabien de Menou, produced by de Menou and SEK, mastered by Stefan Brueggemann, with cover art by Benjamin Butter (Gavial). Pre-orders are open via the label webshop and Bandcamp. A German release tour runs 9–17 October, including a hometown release show in Berlin on 10 October.
