The John Sally Ride, the project of writer John Dunbar, has released the official video for «Stranded After Touring Stranded», featuring Phil Manzanera of Roxy Music on guitar. The song came out on 6 November 2026, and the album «For Sal» follows on 4 December 2026 via Think Like a Key Music on CD and digital. Dunbar wrote the record in memory of Sal Maida, the project's bassist and a former touring member of Roxy Music, who died in February 2025. Manzanera plays all guitars, with Jim Santo on bass, Sal Nunziato on drums and Dunbar on vocals and keyboards; guests include Martin Gordon, Steve Wynn and Dennis Diken, and Len Monachello produced and mixed. The songs draw on Maida's memoir «Four Strings, Phony Proof, and 300 45s». The scene connection runs through the Roxy Music art-rock lineage and the release on Think Like a Key Music. This report is based on the magazine's announcement; Echo Mandala has not heard the recording.
