Glasgow noise trio Civil Elegies have premiered a new track, 'The New Hard', as a From The Floor live session. The down-tuned riff with intense vocals was part of their set when supporting OMO, Big | Brave and Extra Life, and was recorded while the band wrote and mixed their new album over summer 2026. It is their first release since the THRUM live EP in 2025, following the NO LIFE EP from 2024; a new album is due in 2027. Civil Elegies play Core Fest in Glasgow on 15 November 2026 alongside Pig Destroyer and EyeHateGod. The lineup is Hamish Black (vocals, guitar), Kyalo Searle-Mbullu (guitar) and Grant Donaldson (drums, vocals). The video premiere is reported by Echoes and Dust; the video is on the band's official YouTube channel.
