Sydney psychedelic heavy rockers Robot God released the single "Lucid Reality" on 14 August via DistroKid / Lunar Mountain Records. The track continues the band's blend of crushing riffs, hypnotic psychedelic textures and expansive heavy rock jams that has built them a following in Australia and beyond. The single is the latest step toward the forthcoming album "Curse of the Driven".

Ahead of the Japan run, Robot God play a hometown farewell show at Moshpit, Sydney on 5 September with Hekate and Celestial Oath. The band then tour Japan from 16 to 20 September — Shinjuku (Cactus Meet and Greet, 16 Sep), Kichijoji (Crescendo, 17 Sep), Hatsudai (Moonstep, 18 Sep), Chofu (Rathole, 19 Sep) and Shinjuku (Earthdom mini-fest, 20 Sep) — booked by Paranormal Activities. Australian dates in Wollongong, Melbourne and Geelong follow in October.

The announcement places keyboards and atmospheric layers further forward while retaining the motorik foundation that characterised "Onto the Afterlife". On that evidence this is a measured shift in emphasis rather than a reinvention.
