Manchester heavy psych trio Dead Sea Apes will release their new album Psychic Tension on 18 September 2026 through Cardinal Fuzz (UK) and Feeding Tube Records (USA). The announcement follows the title track premiere on 5 August and the second single Severance on 4 September, both accompanied by official videos.

The five-track record continues from where Rewilding left off, keeping the band's blend of noise rock, Japanese psych, minimal dub and electric-era Miles Davis. The press material cites Can's iterative repetition, the power trio telepathy of Crazy Horse, and the PSF Records sonic palette as reference points, with layered soundscapes moving from ethereal echoes to feedback drones and distorted lead lines.

Pre-orders open 4 September via the labels and the band's Bandcamp. A release show is scheduled for 13 September at the Golden Lion in Todmorden. The lineup remains Brett Savage (guitars), Jack Toker (bass, guitars) and Chris Hardman (drums).
