Dizgo released Innerstate — fourth album produced by Vance Powell

Dizgo

Dizgo released their fourth studio album Innerstate on October 9 through Bandcamp. The Bloomington, Indiana quartet — Andrew Pickel (guitar/vocals), Kevin Hinnefeld (bass/keys), Jake Evatt (keys/vocals) and Justin Clark (drums) — recorded the thirteen-track set with Grammy-winning producer Vance Powell in Nashville. The band describes the record as a meditation on movement, self-discovery, transformation and interconnectedness, using interstate highways as a metaphor for personal pathways. Musically, the album blends funk-driven grooves, jamtronica textures and psychedelic rock expansiveness, with tracks such as “Exit 59,” “Orbital” and the nine-minute “Singularity” showcasing both tight arrangement and organic improvisation. Diffuser.fm notes that the group’s live energy carries over into the studio work, even as the production gives each instrument room to breathe. Innerstate is available digitally now; a vinyl pressing has not been announced. Dizgo is currently touring the US through December, with dates including the Brooklyn Bowl and the 9:30 Club.
