US drone duo Droni Eye Omi have announced a second album, Thwaites, out on 11 December 2026 via Desert Records. The opening track “A Peaceful Drone for a Melting Earth” is streaming now with the album pre-order. Ronaldo Baca (electric sustainiac guitar) and Brad Frye (electric baritone guitar) recorded the four tracks — 57 minutes in total — in one take without overdubs at Bingo Studios in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The record addresses the melting of the Thwaites Glacier in Antarctica and follows their 2025 debut Liminal Mass and last year's live album Live at Guild Cinema.
