hijss announce self-titled sophomore album for September on Heavy Psych Sounds

Italian power trio hijss have announced their second album, the self-titled hijss, set for 18 September 2026 via Heavy Psych Sounds Records. The band — Lois Lane on guitar, vocals and electronics, Maurice on drums, and Pan on bass and synth — describe their sound as "kosmo kraut", a blend of punk energy, wave textures, space rock atmosphere and psychedelic heaviness.
The announcement arrived with the premiere of "vicious cycle", the album's first single, accompanied by a video on the label's official YouTube channel. The track's lyrics quote a dream Marilyn Manson recounted on the live album The Last Tour on Earth, while Pan's heavy bass riff anchors the song's punk-driven momentum.
hijss's 2024 debut Stuck On Common Ground established their mix of heavy blues-influenced riffs and synthesised krautrock passages. The new record was produced by Toni Quiroga and the band, with drums recorded at Nologo Recording Studio in Laives. Pre-orders are open on the Heavy Psych Sounds Bandcamp page.
