Japanese psychedelic troupe Kikagaku Moyo released their fourth album Masana Temples on 5 October 2018 via Guruguru Brain. The record deepened their blend of acid folk, krautrock repetition and floating psych-rock into a cohesive whole, recorded in Lisbon with Bruno Pernadas. "Dripping Sun" opens the album with a悠然とした groove — Tomo Katsuki's bass and Go Kurosawa's drums lock into a motorik pulse while Ryu Kurosawa's sitar and Daoud Popal's guitar trade melodic lines. The official video on the Guruguru Brain channel presents the studio track with kaleidoscopic visuals that match the music's hypnotic drift. No new release today; this is a curated archive pick highlighting a cornerstone of the modern Japanese psych scene.
