Maltese heavy units Lady Lizard and A Broken Design join forces for Turned to Stone Chapter 11, the eleventh installment in Ripple Music's split EP series, slated for a December 11 release. The six-track record blends sludge metal and stoner rock across both bands' contributions. Lady Lizard's debut single "Solitary Planet" is available as an official music video. A Broken Design, formed in 2014 from members of various Maltese metal and post-grunge bands, channels southern groove and melancholic melodies reminiscent of Down and Alice in Chains. The split will be released in a limited LP edition and digitally through Ripple Music, with preorders open now. For Ripple Music, this marks the first all-Maltese entry in the long-running Turned to Stone series, which has previously highlighted regional heavy scenes from around the world. The Obelisk reported the announcement on October 22.
