Denver's Lord Velvet will release their second album Wiccan Moon on 8 January 2027 through Ripple Music. The announcement, published by Progressive Rock Journal on 16 October 2026, is accompanied by the title track streaming on all major platforms.

The band describe their sound as Rocky Mountain Rock and Roll: a heavy blend of psychedelic rock, proto-doom and early heavy metal shaped by the darkness and scale of the surrounding mountains. Wiccan Moon was recorded live with Collin Ingram at The Band Cave in Denver, then mixed and mastered to tape by Pete de Boer at World Famous Studio. Artwork is by Daria Hlazatova. Lyrically, the title track centres on feminine power: a coven gathering beneath the moon and turning its force against corruption.

Lord Velvet formed in 2022 and debuted with Astral Lady in 2023 on Glory or Death Records. The new album marks their move to Ripple Music and a deeper turn toward seventies heavy rock roots, reshaped into proto-doom and heavy metal of their own. The lineup is Taylor Webb (vocals), Bobby Scott (guitar), Jason Kleim (bass) and Mike Barnes (drums).
