Magenta Sunshine release new album 'Clarity'

Magenta Sunshine

Magenta Sunshine, the Asheville, North Carolina group built around singer, guitarist and songwriter David Morris Einzig, have released their new album Clarity. The record follows the band's self-produced 2024 album Serendipity and was made at the group's home studio in Asheville and at Art Is Sound Studio in New Orleans, with Keenan McRae on production. Brass is central to the sound: Jerome Widenhouse IV on flugelhorn, Kendra Warren on trombone and Dylan Hannan on saxophone and flute. Champagne and Anyway lean towards funk and soul, while See You When I Can is built around Einzig's voice and acoustic guitar. The 11-track album came out on 10 October 2026, with singles arriving monthly in the run-up. It's Psychedelic Baby Magazine announced the release on 16 October 2026; the band's own site confirms the date and calls Clarity an evolution of the group's sound.
