Planet Desert Rock Weekender has added Suplecs and Materializer to the lineup of Planet Desert Rock Weekend VII, the Las Vegas festival running 28-31 January 2027. Italy's Humulus and Pittsburgh's Carousel drop off the bill.

Suplecs, the New Orleans group on Ripple Music, return with their first album in 15 years, Hymns Under a Blood Moon Sky (February 2026), which reached number 6 on The Doom Charts. They will play the Ripple Music Showcase on Friday 29 January alongside Mothership, Steak, Fostermother and Floirst. Materializer, the Nashville duo of brothers Conner and Chris Poole (ex-The Swell Fellas), join on the strength of their debut album As the Body Flies, released 2 October 2026.

The announcement comes from organiser John Gist via The Obelisk. Tickets are on sale; nightly lineups and single-night tickets will follow. This is a festival announcement, not a review: Echo Mandala has not attended Planet Desert Rock Weekend VII.
