Taipei drone and krautrock collective Scattered Purgatory (破地獄) released Post Purgatory on 30 January 2026 through Guruguru Brain and WV Sorcerer Productions. The eight-track album ends a three-year hiatus and follows the band's pandemic-era break. It was written and arranged collectively by the group, recorded half at home and half at the studio where they made their debut, and mixed by Bert Yen. Guest contributions from White Wu (drums), Minyen Hsieh (tenor saxophone) and dotzio (vocals) expand the palette into a heavy, electronics-shaped sound. The band describes loss and uncertainty as the album's starting point, with time as its central theme. Lyrics move between Taiwanese, Mandarin and English, reflecting Taipei's multilingual fabric. Pre-orders for the vinyl are open via Bandcamp and the Guruguru Brain webstore; physical copies ship from mid-March.
