From the archive: Spring Hill Post Tide live — Chinese space rock from Wuhan

Wuhan-based ensemble Spring Hill Post Tide blend 1970s space rock, Krautrock motorik, and spiritual jazz into a distinctive instrumental sound. This live capture from their official YouTube channel documents the band's expansive, improvisation-driven approach — tenor and soprano saxophones, ney flute, bansuri, theremin, sitar, and violin weaving through hypnotic grooves. The group, active since 2022, has toured Chinese festivals extensively and recently announced their debut album The City Portal Will Be Open (16 October 2026, WV Sorcerer Productions). This archival live video showcases why they are one of China's most compelling new voices in global psychedelic rock.
