A sprawling tribute to Os Mutantes co-founder Arnaldo Baptista arrived on 4 September 2026 under the title Arnaldo Baptista 7.8 – Canções Inesquecíveis Revisitadas. Four compilations — Cobre, Sunny, Pink and Jeans — gather 56 new recordings by more than 60 artists, among them Zé Ramalho, Sandra de Sá, Boogarins, Hyldon, Zeca Baleiro, Violeta de Outono, Edgard Scandurra and Rod Krieger.

The project focuses on Arnaldo's solo catalogue rather than the Os Mutantes repertoire. On 14 October, Rod Krieger premiered a music video for his version of "The Cowboy", a song Arnaldo first performed with Patrulha do Espaço in the late 1970s and later recorded for his 1982 solo album Singin' Alone. Directed by Yan Gabriel in black and white on the streets of Bairro Peixoto, Copacabana, the video follows Krieger on a simple walk that unfolds into an open, cinematic narrative.

Krieger, a former bassist for Cachorro Grande, has pursued a solo space-rock/electronic path since 2018 and first collaborated with Arnaldo on the 2020 single "Louvado Seja Deus". The tribute was covered by It's Psychedelic Baby Magazine in a new interview with Arnaldo, who reflected on Lóki? (1974), Singin' Alone (1982), his painting practice and the freedom of hearing younger generations reinterpret his songs. Progressive Rock Journal also reported the video premiere. The video is available on the Arnaldo Baptista Topic YouTube channel.
