Roman trio Sickwood will release their debut album May the Surface Be Condemned on 20 November 2026 through This Charming Man Records. The news arrives with the premiere of the "Vultures" video at The Obelisk - the album's opening track and second single, out since 16 October. The title track "Sickwood" was released in September. Bassist and vocalist Mara Sverdrup, guitarist Maurizio Fabio Fama and drummer Valerio Urbani call their sound "necromantic stoner-doom": thick and sludgy, carried by walls of Orange amps and dense fuzz, with vocals moving between clean melodies and feral growls. The album was mixed and mastered by Stefano Morabito at 16th Cellar Studio, and the cover art is by Coito Negato. Pre-orders are available via This Charming Man Records.
